About the Owner

My name is Janet and I am the owner of The Paper Petal. Throughout my life, I have enjoyed participating in artistic hobbies. When I was young, I would spend much time drawing and painting with different mediums. As an adult, I found painting ceramics to be very fun. I have been creating greeting cards for ten years, scrapbooking for eight years, and quilling for six years.

My passion is to learn new techniques and design new pieces of paper art. I enjoy working with glitter, heat and dry embossing, and of course, the many colors of quilling paper.

I am a member of the North American Quilling Guild (NAQG). The guild's mission is that of promoting the art of quilling and making sure that it is passed on to future generations. For more information on the NAQG, click on the Links tab above.
